A simple yet elegant project, the Helical Stair at the West Lynn Residence was a huge technical challenge. The project involved a high degree of custom form finding and extremely tight tolerances, as the stair needed to fit perfectly into the space allocated for it to avoid conflicts with other architectural elements. As is often the case, simplicity of form is only achievable with a high degree of care.
